I’m both excited and nervous for Margo and Declan’s first foray outside my comfortable publishing bubble. I’ve had lots of input on this book from my agent and my editor both, but this will be the first time in lands in readers’ hands—people who will hopefully be leaving Goodreads reviews, talking about it on TikTok, loving it, critiquing it, etc. I’ve anticipated this day for a long time and am looking forward to all of it, but can’t help feeling a little anxious that it’s finally happening.
In other news, I’m looking at finally starting an author newsletter in the new year. Many of you have already subscribed to my mailing list, but you might’ve noticed I’ve never sent anything out because I’m the worst. I’d like to form better habits but I want to make sure that I’m sending out a newsletter that’s actually worth reading and not just another email clogging up your inbox. To that end, I’ve put together a Google survey asking what readers hope to get out of their author newsletter subscriptions. All questions are optional but every response is appreciated!
