They’ll fall in love when Hel freezes over.

Stella Cadogan-Barnes has never left the Bay Area. Despite the encouragement of her adventurous single mother, she’s been content to work from home, copywriting for a digital marketing startup. The pay is inconsistent, but at least she doesn’t have to change out of sweatpants for their morning Zoom calls.

Until a potential promotion pushes her to work on-site with their newest client: a tour company situated on Iceland’s windswept southern coast. Hel í Mýrdal feels like the edge of the world, and Finnbjörn—the taciturn co-owner of Saga Off-Roading—does little to make her feel at home. His grandfather wanted an American marketing perspective to drag the family business back from the brink of closure, but Finn would sooner go down with the ship.

As long summer days chip away at Finn’s glacial exterior, Stella realizes she might be falling for the man as much as the wild, volcanic country. Soon, she’s torn between an exhilarating new life and the comfortable job waiting for her back home. But she’s also on a deadline, and she’ll have to decide what she wants before summer’s end.
